Terms of use

These terms govern your use of the Crumbfolio website and the Crumbfolio app, both operated by DACCAA Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14639674), registered office 11 Othello Close, Stafford, ST17 9ZN, England. By using either, you accept these terms.

Your content is yours

Recipes you write, photos you take and notes you add remain yours. You grant us only the licence we need to store that content, sync it between your devices and show it back to you inside the app. We do not claim ownership and we will not publish your content without asking.

Recipes you save from elsewhere

Crumbfolio lets you save a personal copy of a recipe you have found online, in the same way you might write one out by hand. That copy is for your own private use. You must not use Crumbfolio to republish, redistribute or commercially exploit somebody else's recipe content, and you are responsible for making sure your use of third-party content is lawful.

AI-generated content

Recipes, answers, substitutions and timings produced by Crumbfolio's AI features are suggestions. They are generated automatically and are not reviewed by a person before you see them. They may be wrong.

Use your judgement in the kitchen. You are responsible for food safety, for cooking food thoroughly, and for checking anything you eat against your own allergies, intolerances, medical needs and dietary requirements. Do not rely on Crumbfolio to tell you whether something is safe for you or for the people you are feeding. If you have a serious allergy, check the ingredients yourself.

Timers and timings

Timers, oven adjustments and suggested cooking times are guidance. They depend on your equipment, your ingredients and how your kitchen behaves, and they can be affected by how your device handles notifications. Never leave cooking food unattended in reliance on a timer.

Acceptable use

• Do not use Crumbfolio for anything unlawful.
• Do not attempt to break, overload or reverse engineer the service.
• Do not upload content you do not have the right to upload.
• Do not use the AI features to generate harmful or illegal material.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms.

Availability

We work to keep Crumbfolio running, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of faults. We may change, suspend or withdraw features, and we will give reasonable notice where a change materially affects a feature you rely on.

Payment

Where Crumbfolio offers paid features, the price, billing period and renewal terms are shown before you buy. Purchases made through the App Store are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms and refund process.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of profit, or for loss arising from your reliance on AI-generated content, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, save that if you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom you may bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.
